8 Steps To Success

There are many reasons why people fail in their network marketing business. When people get involved with network marketing or MLM they normally have no clue how to market online or at all for that matter. Truth is that it is really not that hard if you get some good advice. Now the big question of what is good advice? With so many so called gurus out there, who do you listen to? Well that can be a very difficult problem to solve. My best advice to you is to only listen to people that are doing what it is that you want to do. If they are in the trenches and are actively doing what they are preaching then that is a good start. If they are giving good advice on their Blog, Facebook or some other medium that you can put into practice in your home based business then follow them.

Now I am going to tell you a little story. I started in network marketing way back in the 1980’s. I know some of you weren’t even born in the 80’s. I was invited to a presentation and fell in love with the concept of Multi-Level Marketing. I saw that it was the only way for a normal or average person to have both time and financial freedom in their life. I am not always the smartest person, so when I got started with a large MLM company I fell into the same trap that most people that start their own home based business end up neck deep in.

My up line wanted me to listen to all these personal development cassette tapes. “I thought I was pretty good and didn’t need that junk.” I didn’t listen to them and I tried to do the things that I was told to do to build my business. Of course I struggled and I mean struggled! I went prospecting at the mall and aggravating all my friends and family all because I had the wrong mind set. I also tried to do it my way and not follow the system that my up-line had laid out.

I am going to give you a list of what is super important you get straight in your home based business or you will fail.

1. Mindset- I cannot tell you how important you mindset is in the success of your business! Really as far as success in your business without your mindset right you have already failed. Read, read and do some more reading. Self-improvement is the biggest part or success in any business. It will help you in every aspect of your life.
2. Decision- You must make a decision that you are going to do it 100%. You can’t try it out or play with it like a hobby. You have to get in there and do the WORK and you will have success. Most people fail because they go at it with the wrong mindset and think they are going to try it. No, you have to do it!
3. Desire- you have to want it bad enough to do some things that you don’t necessarily want to do to get the results you want.
4. Resolve- You have to say to yourself that you are going to do it until you are successful. Most people will only do it until they meet opposition.
5. Duplicate- what you are doing has to be something that your down line can duplicate. If not then you will lose more people than you can sign up.
6. System- You really do need a system that will not only help you build your business but also help your down line. I have found that most people won’t do some of the simplest things. With the right system your work is cut down to 1/3 of the work with no system or the wrong system.
7. Education- You need to educated so that you can market and market correctly. Most people try to do it either without learning anything or trying to find it all online for free. The problem with that is first is your time is money and it will take you hundreds of hours searching and trying stuff to see if it works then moving to the next. Much cheaper and a tax deduction if you just buy a good course.
8. Mentor- Finding a good mentor is very important to gaining success in your network marketing business. Even after spending thousands of dollars on books, courses, seminars and other things I was still struggling. I had the knowledge but I was having problems putting it into action.

You should not try to reinvent the wheel. First off it will take too much time and you will quit your home based business before you ever make a profit. Second your down line will never do, it if it is hard or complicated they just will flat out not doing it. I have all the information you need to start and build your network marketing business.
