What is attraction marketing and how can it help you with you home based business? Well, if you have been looking into work from home business opportunities then you have probably seen some links for attraction marketing. It is huge right now and can be used in all home based businesses. Many believe that if you don’t use attraction marketing then you will fail in your online efforts.

What is attraction marketing? Well before we go into that lets explain what the normal marketing model is. Well the typical marketing model in MLM and network marketing is first making a list of your family and friends and then expanding that list to everyone you know. Then you start calling and hounding them until they join your group or until they threaten you with bodily harm. Then after you have alienated yourself for everyone you know you start to cold contact. Now the very name of cold contacting strikes fear in most people. Now the people that you contact that way are just that cold and most don’t want to hear what you have to say. Then you buy a bunch of worthless leads that if the emails are correct they are even colder than your cold contact prospects. You spend countless hours on the phone calling people and going to hotel meetings and many more embarrassing things trying to make a buck. In turn you get frustrated and broke and then you quit the opportunity that just a few months ago seemed so fantastic. Truth is the opportunity probably was fantastic you were just going about it all wrong. Now I am not saying that those methods don’t work because they do but most people way underestimate how many people they have to talk to to sponsor just one person that way. Now if any of this sounds familiar, it is because it was what was taught to me in all the opportunities I have been in. I never really had much success this way.

Well, I am here to tell you that there is a better way! It’s easier, faster and cheaper to build your business on line and generate your own free leads and I mean warm to hot leads that are ready to buy what you have. Well I can say that I am no better seller, closer or cold prospect caller, and I didn’t find the “right” company at the “right time” . It really had absolutely nothing to do with any of that. I came across this simple yet powerful formula and it changed my life and my business almost over night.

But sometimes you learn something and you just slap yourself in the forehead and say “I could of had a V-8″ and you will never be the same again.

Almost over night prospects will be after you and trying to do business with you instead of you trying to sell them. All you need to do is make a shift in the way you build your business. You have to change your thinking and think like a leader not a salesperson. In the home based business industry the prospects are called leads, well that is what you should do. You need to lead them down the path not try and drag them to the sell. Take them by the hand and lead them though the process. Attraction marketing is not about being handsome or gorgeous all thou it does help if you are clean, have you hair nice and dress tastefully. On the Internet a well laid out website with ease of use for the visitor and well formatted e-mails go a long way. It is very easy to become attractive when you take the dollar signs off you forehead and start to focus on giving value.

Now this is not taught by MLM and network marking companies or their top leaders. Most of the top leaders don’t even know that they are doing most of it. If you are in an MLM or network marketing business or you are looking to start then I want to share one thing with you. When I started my Network marketing business the first time in the 80′s and all the times in between I sucked. Now I did have some times where I made some money but never to the point that I could quit my job. The truth is that everyone sucked when they started and they had to learn what and how to do the right things to be successful. Everyone tries to make you think they started out making a six figure income and they did not. I am proud to say that I struggled in the beginning but I am not happy that it took me so long to finally figure it out and be able to quit my job and work from home for myself but I am here to say that if I did it so can you. The only difference between me and the people that fail in home based businesses is just one thing. I never quit, I kept on trying until I made it. You only fail when you quit!

To make it big in the home based business world you have to be a leader. That is the big “Ah Ha” moment you have been waiting for. YES! You can be a leader! You have to look at all aspects of your business and you will find your niche and there you will lead. You see most people in the work from home business opportunities fail because they can not duplicate what there up-line is doing and in some cases you don’t want to. You see there is only one you, there is only one me. I can’t be you no matter how hard I try. If I tried to be you and I studied you and then walked around trying to be you I would look so fake and everyone would know like I had a flashing light on my head. You don’t want to duplicate someone you want a system that is proven but to use attraction marketing to build your own home based business, you need to set yourself up as a leader. How do you do this? Is this possible for me to do? The answer is yes it is. The first thing you have to realize is that the answer lies in basic human psychology, this is at the core of human to human attraction. You see attraction is not a choice. It is a biological/instinctual trigger that has evolved millions of years ago to help keep you alive. Now this is a basic version so don’t get made at me I am no PHD. By human nature people thrive and live in social groups. They follow a leader until they get enough experience, confidence and strength to challenge for the leadership position or go out and start their own group. This is the survival instinct that has been ingrained in us for millions of years.

You see people cannot survive on their own, so we have formed families and groups. The leader (usually referred to as the Alpha), is typically the biggest, strongest and most dominate individual in the group or family, both physically and mentally. The Alpha’s main job is that of protection and so the rest follow. That instinct is still very present and is used today but we don’t realize it because it is on an unconscious-level. But it shapes every thing we do in life. Now a days we are attracted to people we perceive as someone of value. We gain popularity though association with powerful people.
